Derrick Crudup

Derrick Crudup

Head Coach

Derrick Crudup was an All-American high school quarterback from Delray Beach, Florida. After graduating from Boca Raton Community High School in 1983 he was recruited to play quarterback at the University of Florida, by current Washington Redskins Head Coach; Mike Shanahan. Crudup went on to transfer to the University of Oklahoma to play for Barry Switzer where he went on to win four Big Eight championships and the National Championship in 1985 with a win over Penn State in the Orange Bowl. After college, Crudup was again recruited by Coach Mike Shanahan and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in 1988. After his playing career ended in 1992, he returned home to his Florida roots to coach high school football at Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton, Spanish River and Pompano Beach high schools for more than 12 years as both a defensive and offensive coordinator. Crudup mentored and coached a number of Division 1 players and 10 first-round draft picks in the NFL.

Assistant Football Coach

Derrick Crudup Jr. career started when he played Quarterback for Deerfield Beach High. He went on to playing quarterback at The University of Miami as well as coaching at Stillman College while playing wide receiver. Coach Derrick believes in helping aspirin athletes to succeed. He focuses all of his efforts on tapping into the latent potential of students and helping them become the best representation of their skill of the field. His passion is to create the next generation of all start NFL athletes.

Delvin M. King

Delvin M. King began his educational career Youth Under Construction Youth Center in 2012 as the Founder and Executive Director. Mr. King spent 3 years directing After-Care and Summer Programs within the Youth Center before opening the Private School and accepting his first Principal Position. Currently, Mr. King serves as the Elementary, Middle and High School Principal. Mr. King also serves as SAC Chairman at Blanche Ely High School and is an advocate of many community board in Pompano Beach, Florida.

His educational experiences have afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well-being. His educational philosophy is based on his uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family.

Mr. King has received a Bachelor’s Degree in Florida from Florida Memorial University in 2015. He’s currently enrolled at Barry University where he’s working towards his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.

Ira Bush

Ira Bush

Assistant Football Coach

Ira Bush experience goes back many years. He started as a Varsity Defensive Line Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach, Olympic Heights. During his tenure at Olympic Heights he taught 40 players Defensive Line skills and techniques, coached 50-60 players in strength and conditioning practices. Ira recognizes confidence, individuality, and self-assurance as top priorities. As an assistant football coach and Summer Camp Coach, American Heritage School taught over 120 players in middle school, JV, and Varsity level football.
